The Ministry of Transport and Communications has appointed Elisabeth Aarsæther as the new Director General of the National Communications Authority (Nkom). Aarsæther comes from the position of Deputy Director General of Nkom and will replace Torstein Olsen.

The Norwegian Communications Authority (Nkom) has established a cooperation agreement with the Polish sister authority Urząd Komunikacji Elektronicznej (Office of Electronic Communications) (UKE). The aim is to support the government's strategy for cooperation with Poland, and to ensure Nkom access to UKE's expertise and experience.
