NPT and the Ministry has concluded on the auction rules for the 800, 900 and 1800 MHz bands

The Norwegian Post and Telecommunications Authority (NPT) consulted on draft auction rules for the 800, 900 and 1800 MHz auction in the period 14 August to 30 September 2013. Based on the consultation responses, NPT and the Ministry of Transport and Communications jointly present a document summarising assessments and updates to the rules. The final auction rules have now been published and the auction will start 2 December 2013. Registration is open and the deadline is 15 November 2013.

The auction of frequencies in the 800, 900 and 1800 MHz bands will be conducted based on the overall framework and detailed regulation set out by the Government, the Ministry of Transport and Communications (the Ministry) and NPT. These comments have been assessed by NPT and the Ministry and the joint comments and conclusions are presented in this document (Norwegian only).

After the consultation some changes and adjustments have been made to the draft auction rules and in the draft spectrum licences (with annexes). Changes have been clearly indicated in the documents. All of the documents are available on the auction webpage. The final auction rules are available in English, the rest of the documents are in Norwegian only.

Registration for the auction is now open and the deadline is  15 November 2013 1500 Norwegian time.
