Cookies on Nkom's websites

The revised Norwegian Electronic Communications Act came into force on 1 July 2013 and contains a new provision concerning the terms and conditions relating to storage of information in communications equipment – the so-called "cookies clause" (cf. section 2-7b of the Electronic Communications Act).

Storage of information and processing of that information is not permitted unless the user is informed about, and has consented to, the information that is processed, the objective of this processing and the parties that will process the information.

Below you will find information about use of cookies on Nkom's websites. By accessing and retrieving information and/or using services on our websites – Nkom.no, Nettfart.no and Finnsenderen.no – you consent to cookies being stored in your browser, since most browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. If you do not accept our use of cookies, you can withdraw your consent by changing your browser settings. Please note, however, that this may prevent some of the services on our websites from working properly.

Nkom uses the following cookies:

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies to analyse how users use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. We use anonymizeIP, which is a feature that ensures that single users cannot be identified. Google uses this information to evaluate the use of the website, compile reports on activities on the website for the owner of the website, and provide other services relating to activities on the website and Internet use.

Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with other data held by Google.

Nkom uses Google Analytics to analyse the use of Nkom's websites. We receive information about which pages are most visited, where the users come from, at which times the pages are most visited, etc.

This cookie allows the web server to improve your online experience by remembering your actions and choices on our webpages.

It is used by Enonic (CMS) to remember which menu item the user has used on, say, Nkom.no and will display these items in expanded view if you jump back and forth between content and the menu.

No personal or identifiable information is stored.

Third-party requests

These are requests made by a user to an external service provider. Although these requests do not place any cookies on your device, they may nevertheless transmit information to third parties. Google Analytics works through third-party requests.
